About the Webinar
- This webinar will cover the measurement principles and techniques for calculating the water use of plants, as well as plant water status using the Heat Ratio Method.
- Covering the accurate measurement of reverse, low and high sap flow, the webinar will provide examples of applications in both forestry and agriculture.
- A brief introduction to in-situ/real-time measurement of plant water potential will also be given.The webinar will be presented in English, but with a translation from a Spanish speaker in parallel, with opportunities for questions in Spanish or English.
About the presenter
Ben Umali has a PhD in Agriculture and Natural Resources from the University Adelaide. He spent 15 years in applied research prior to joining ICT International in October 2015. During that time, he spearheaded various internationally- and nationally-funded projects geared towards improving agricultural production systems in the Philippines through science and technology-based approaches. At ICT International, Ben integrates his knowledge in soil, plant and environmental science in delivering S&T-based solutions to ensure sustainable ecosystem and agricultural productivity.
